Hi all, today we have a round of new project updates from Alternative Projects. As AP has started recruitment for more members to help work on more projects in the Muv-Luv franchise, I’m happy to report that our team has grown, and we have a number of new members who have joined us now working on different stories! Without further ado, please welcome our new members and our current projects!
We have other projects planned, such as the rest of Chronicles, Total Eclipse, Ayu Mayu Alternative, and the various side stories, as well as the Schwarzesmarken VN when it’s released.
So we are still looking for more translators, English editors who know also know Russian, and especially programmers/hackers to help with the project. If you are one or know of anyone with these skills, and have an interest in the projects, do drop us an email!
Now, for updates in the franchise.
I’m very pleased to say that this month of May has seen a flood of releases and announcements from Age for Schwarzesmarken, or liberally translated into English, Black Marks. Thus this month has become the Black Month of May.
Age has announced that there will be an Anime for this series! This will be the second anime in the Muv-Luv franchise, following Total Eclipse. The anime will probably be released next year, after the release of the TWO VNs for Schwarzesmarken.
The first VN, titled Crest of Red Blood, is up for preorders, with a release date of Sept 2015, and can be ordered here.
The second, titled Martyrs, is stated as having a release date of Winter this year.
Next, an announcement for a new Light Novel Supplement for Schwaresmarken was also made, covering the side story of Irisdina Bernhard, titled The silhouette of the Bernhards.
On the model kits side, Kotobukia has finally announced the release date of the Non-scale MiG-21 Balalaika Theodor Eberbach Type Plastic Model, scheduled for a Sep 2015 release as well. Orders can be made here.
In addition, apparently this can be done with the new Frame Arms Girl that Koto released as well.

Hi everyone, I’m pleased to report that as of today we have completed translations of all lines for TDA01! We are now moving into the editing and QC process, so please be patient a little longer, and expect a release soon!
In other news, a new free to play Muv-Luv Mobage game called Muv-Luv Alternative: Next Answer has been released for Mobile devices. You can access the link here through your handphone, and play the game online. If you have a browser that supports auto translation to English, you can get a machine translation of the various menus and text as well. You can also check out guide for the various cards and events at this Japanese site. While I’m not really into this sort of game, I wish everyone who enjoys it happy tapping~
In model kit news, we have new Kotobukiya kits announced during the Winter Wonderfest 2015. First up is the 1/144 Takemikazuchi 00R blue version, that comes with the iconic Railgun that was shown in Total Eclipse! This variant of equipment comes from a battle which occurred in TDA 03. You can read up more on the events which took place in the VN on the Wiki, but be warned of Spoilers! The Muv-Luv Unlimited: The Day After 1/144 Takemikazuchi Type-00R 16th Guard Battalion Commander Unit Plastic Model is planned for release late Jun 2015.
The next upcoming kit would be the Non-scale Schwarzesmarken – Mig-21 Balalaika as teased in previous updates, with a planned release of July 2015. However it’s not up for preorders yet, so expect delays in the release date.
Other than kits, we have two new magazines as well. First is the Muv-Luv Alternative Tactical Fighter Complete Book, which is a compilation of Hobby Japan model kit pages since Dec 2012. It was released in Feb 2015. Next up is the Muv-Luv Alternative Total Eclipse Memorial Art Book, releasing late March 2015. This book will be like previous Memorial books that were released in that it will contain concept art and design details of the Visual Novel and perhaps the animation. As there have been many other compilation books for the Total Eclipse anime over the past years, I expect the book to be more VN centric.

Hi everyone, before I begin the updates, I would like to mention the passing of a great fan of the Muv-luv franchise, Jilpoong17, in Nov 2014.
Jilpoong17 was a man of great talent, who also had a great passion for the Muv-luv universe, evident by his efforts in giving us awesome fan art of the characters since 2004.

Now for translation updates. TDA01 has reached the 75% milestone, and we expect to be able to release this for the fans in a few more months.
After TDA01 is released, I’ll be going back to complete the remaining 2 untranslated chapters of Schwarzesmarken Vol 1, which has been on my to do list for a while.
There may be some other side story projects that we’ll be working on before going to TDA02, so stay tuned.
Now for updates on new items. We have the first of three Schwarzesmarken figures from 4-Leaves, a Irisdina 1/7 figure, which was previously shown as a prototype, releasing in Apr 2015.
Seems like goods for the franchise are picking up again, so with any luck we will have more good news to look forward to. We still have an unannounced Non-scale MiG-21 and 1/144 F-15 ACTV Eagle pending, together with Katia and Lys figures.

Gentlemen, here are the updates for the month of Sept 2014.
I would like to inform you that the translation status of TDA01 is now at 50%, and work will continue to progress as scheduled. We will continue to provide regular updates at key milestones, so kindly continue to be patient as work continues.
In the meantime, I am pleased to present the English translation of the lyrics for the Opening of The Day After, Saigo no Eden (The Final Eden) Artist: Aki Misato. I have added the lyrics to a video for your viewing pleasure, and the lyrics will be listed in the appendix below.
With regards to Visual Novel releases, I am pleased to report that Ixtl has confirmed that the PC release of Total Eclipse is now gold, and will be available from the 29 Sept 2014. Photonmelodies was previously released in Aug 2014 as well. Unfortunately, no further updates for any future VNs have been released, but we have hopes that we will hear more about Schwarzesmarken in the coming months.
On model kits and figures, no new model kits of TSFs have been announced since the last update, but samples of new figures starring the cast of Schwarzesmarken were shown during the Summer Wonderfest 2014 event. One has hopes that this is the beginning of a more ambitious project.

Hi all! This is an update to let you know we have reached the 25% mark for the Translation updates/edits of Chronicles 02, TDA01, and we are still going strong. We will release the full patch once everything is complete, for everyones enjoyment.
On the model kits side, we have an improved non-scale Takemikazuchi ver 1.5 released last month, an announced 1/144 F-15 ACTV Active Eagle, and also a prototype of the MiG-21 Balalaika in the works.

Just to provide a little update and to let everyone know we are still alive and kicking, translations for TDA00 are still going smoothly, and the idea is to give a complete translation of the story for the next release instead of partial patches.
Regarding the format of the translation localization, I’m going to go with the idea that for western characters, we go with western speech patterns, instead of keeping the Japanese ones fully. So we are localizing the translation text as much as possible while still keeping the meaning of the line intact.
In the meantime, to provide some updates on whats happening in the Muv Luv franchise for 2014, we have Photonflowers and Photomelodies being released on PS3 and Xbox, which are compilations of the Muv Luv side stories that Age has released over the years that isn’t TDA. We also have an announcement for the PC version of Total Eclipse, which should make fans quite happy.
On model kit news, this year we have a smaller line up of a non-scale Takemikazuchi Type-00R 1.5ver with enhanced joints, and a 1/144 F-15 ACTV Active Eagle. Compared to last year’s release of 4 new kits, could this mean that Kotobukiya’s hype for MLA kits is slowing down? I believe some of us are still hoping for a few more kits to become available, like the A-10 and F-4. We also had some new garage kit releases in WF2014W, which sadly might never see the light of day outside of Japan, like the 1/6 Yuzuka and 1/6 Lyz, and 1/144 F-4 (might happen if Koto does it though) and 1/144 Type 90 JSDF tank.
And we also have an unconfirmed rumor of a new Muv Luv Anime in the planning, according to here http://m-p.sakura.ne.jp/
