ARG Unhinged Cast II

This week, we tried something a little bit different. Instead of our usual neatly-edited podcast, we decided to do an impromptu live hangout and take questions/calls from listeners on the fly. While we originally planned it as another “unhinged” podcast, we ended up staying surprisingly on topic the entire time, talking almost exclusively about the Kickstarter and other series-related nonsense.

Topics include Muv-Luv script improvements, localization direction, and franchise news. We also answered some caller questions and spoke with @invalidname about his recent Muv-Luv panel at AnimeCentral. Apologies for the bits of dead air – it’s just an unedited broadcast archive, but Aalt may be editing together an audio-only version into a more condensed package. You’ll be able to grab that along with all the prior podcasts right here.

For an impromptu livestream things seemed to go decently well, so if you’d like to see more of these interactive-type streams in the future, let us know!

The second Alternative Radio Global podcast kicks in. This time we talk about the Muv-Luv Kickstarter with Evan, Gabgrave, Sachibelle and Aalt, as we cover the kickstarter experience.

Due to slightly conflicting time zones and schedules the podcast may seem a bit short.
While these podcasts will be recorded in the future, there is no set timetable for them or any sort of schedule. There may be one or two per month, but that’s all depending on the current work situation of the podcast team. There is a possibility for live streams in the future as well.

Welcome back everyone! Before we begin, I wanted to give a huge Thank You! to everyone who backed the Kickstarter! Thanks to you all, we hit the base goal of 250k in 5.5 hours, surpassing the 8 hours of KS death! And even now as I post this we have already hit 650k in 21 days! Congratulations everyone, you made this dream come true!

And now on to our exciting release of the Alternative Radio Global Podcast #1, containing an information packed interview with Mitch and Jason from Degica!

In this interview, we ask several questions pertaining to the inner workings of the Kickstarter, updates on the current goodies on the KS, and what comes next now that the last stretch goal is before us.

ARG Podcast #2 – Interview with Degica + winners for the giveaway

Hi folks, Alternative Projects + Aalt presents: ARG Test Cast #T02 – Sitting down with Degica.

This week, it is my great pleasure to welcome Jason and Mitch from Degica in our #2 Podcast!

KimiNozo Guy contacted them a few weeks ago and they were extremely enthusiastic about joining us in our cast to share some good news about what we can expect in the localisation.

In this cast,  we will cover several questions about Degica’s background and achievements, how they got to start the Muv-Luv kickstarter project with Ixtl, and also, Mitch and Jason will answer some of the questions going around the community regarding the localization itself, providing what information they can. This podcast has been vetted by Ixtl as well, thus the delay in the release.

I’m also pleased to include the winners of the Giveway Degica ran at their site in this podcast, and there’s a new contest being launched as well, so keep listening to the very end!

Alternative Projects + Aalt presents: ARG Test Cast #T01

Hi everyone, with the kickstarter coming up soon, a few of us fans around the globe decided to come together to do a podcast on recent events. This podcast was brought to you by our mainstay host Aalt, also known as KimiNozo Guy, and staring Sachibelle, Evan, Suffolk and me (gabgrave). I’m very pleased to welcome KNG, who is a great fan of the franchise, to Alternative Projects, and you can read his awesome posts and debates on various topics in the industry and on Muv-Luv here at his blog.

This podcast contains:

• Brief introductions about ourselves,
• What we like about Muv-Luv and how we came to know it,
• Our thoughts on the kickstarter, what we think it should focus on, and what we expect from it.

This is our first test podcast, and is a test run for us to get used to things, so please be gentle with us if we sound stiff or odd, and for any problems with the sound quality.

Just to provide a clarification, the stretch goals we mention in the middle of the podcast are actually about the items listed in the poll for what fans would like to see implemented in the localization, and nothing has been confirmed to be in the official stretch goals as yet. The ending song is called Evildoer, from Xanadu Next by Nihon Falcom.
