Hi everyone, at long last, the final and most amazing part of the Muv-Luv trilogy goes live on steam today! Thanks to everyone’s support and patience, the official localization of Alternative is now available to the public on the steam store!

All you amazing backers should have gotten a key code last month on the 23 Aug 2017 to download the game, but if you haven’t claimed your key yet, do check your backer kit account for your steam code.

Hi everybody! I’m very pleased to report that the official localization of the first half of the Muv-Luv trilogy experience is now live on steam! Thank you all for your support and encouragement over the months and years, it’s been a long wait but it’s worth it!

We did a release party live-stream for the launch, in which the localization team and the some special guests sat down to provide some commentary on the game. Hope you enjoy the stream!

 

If you have not gotten the game yet, you can visit the store page here, and start on an unimaginable story that is so small, yet so big.

To our new readers, the reading order for this VN is Extra first, followed by Unlimited, which should be followed for maximum reading pleasure.

KimiNozo Project Update!

UPDATE: As of 05/01/2016, Mitsuki and Akane routes are also now complete, as well as a few minor routes!

Happy holidays, and long time no see! It’s been quite busy around here since last we spoke, hasn’t it? Just last month, we saw the launch of the latest major release from âge, as well as a slew of tasty Kickstarter updates. We here at Alternative Projects have been keeping busy, too – and we feel terrible for not keeping you in the loop! So, let’s start this off with a quick progress update for Kimi ga Nozomu Eien:

The first draft for Haruka Route is now complete.

This marks the first completed route, bringing the project to a total of nearly thirty-thousand lines. To celebrate this milestone, I wanted to share just a short glimpse of how the translation is coming along, just in time for the holidays. It’s by no means final, and is still very much a one-man pet project at this point, but I really hope you enjoy it.

So, yeah. Merry Christmas, or whatever. Sorry about the length – hopefully it didn’t put you to sleep. Anyways! That’s all for now, so I guess you’ll hear from me again once Mitsuki Route’s finished! Hope you’re all snuggled up under blankets and enjoying the spirit of the season with friends and loved ones.

Aspiration release! Chronicles 02 patch up!

Gentlemen, Alternative Projects is pleased to announce the release of Aspiration from Chronicles 02! This side story covers the international exchange of Pilot Cadets between Japan and Germany, and the events that occur when one Makabe Seijyurou is attached to the West Germany Zeberus Battalion.

It’s time people! The most important milestone for the Muv-Luv English speaking fan-base is now live! The Kickstarter is up, and it’s up to YOU to do your part!

As you know, Alternative Projects has always been a free fan-translation group, as our goal has been to promote and maintain interest in the franchise. Therefore, I and the team would like to ask all of you who have been supporting us to help make this Kickstarter a success! Once this KS is successful, we can expect to see much more of the franchise, media and goods become available in the official international language, which makes this event an important turning point for the franchise.

I cannot stress how important it is that you and us, the community, the fan-base, help make this KS take off. ARG TEST CAST #T05 – TV culture

And welcome back to the 5th release of the ARG Test Cast!

This time, besides our usual host Aalt, Evan and I, we have some new voices, Kevin, a member of AP from Germany, and Doc from the Netherlands!

In this episode, we cover some of the updates to the Muv-Luv franchise that happened over the past two weeks, including the release of Haruko Maniax! For the discussion topic this time, we talk about television culture and the differences between nations, and how it has evolved over our childhood years to present day.

A little surprise for our KimiNozo fans out there, to celebrate the completion of the rough draft for First Chapter. Keep in mind that all of the dialogue is an unedited first draft, and none of what you see has been finalized whatsoever.

That being said, I know that a lot of people are skeptical about this project, considering the number of attempts to translate it that have been made in the past. So, I wanted to give you a tiny taste of how things are coming along, just to show that we mean business here.

We’ll have more to share with you soon, so please look forward to it.

Haruko Maniax Translation Released!

Alternative Projects is proud to present our English translation patch for Haruko Maniax, a spin-off Visual Novel featuring Muv-Luv heroine Kashiwagi Haruko!

This patch includes full translations for both the main story, as well as the three Muv-Luv Radio Mini-Drama ADV side-stories – it does not, however, translate the few lines of dialogue in the Faraway Dawn Part 2 mini-game.

Hi everyone, we’re back with another round of updates for our translation projects for the month of August 2015. We’ve had quite a bit going on since June with the announcement of the kickstarter and our regular podcasts in association with Kiminozo Guy, but here’s an update of our line up of fan-translation projects and some news in the Muv-Luv franchise since our update in July.

Hi everyone, with the kickstarter coming up soon, a few of us fans around the globe decided to come together to do a podcast on recent events. This podcast was brought to you by our mainstay host Aalt, also known as KimiNozo Guy, and staring Sachibelle, Evan, Suffolk and me (gabgrave). I’m very pleased to welcome KNG, who is a great fan of the franchise, to Alternative Projects, and you can read his awesome posts and debates on various topics in the industry and on Muv-Luv here at his blog.

This podcast contains:

• Brief introductions about ourselves,
• What we like about Muv-Luv and how we came to know it,
• Our thoughts on the kickstarter, what we think it should focus on, and what we expect from it.

This is our first test podcast, and is a test run for us to get used to things, so please be gentle with us if we sound stiff or odd, and for any problems with the sound quality.

Just to provide a clarification, the stretch goals we mention in the middle of the podcast are actually about the items listed in the poll for what fans would like to see implemented in the localization, and nothing has been confirmed to be in the official stretch goals as yet. The ending song is called Evildoer, from Xanadu Next by Nihon Falcom.

In next week’s issue, we will be talking to the Degica reps on the KS project, so do look forward to that, and if you have any questions you would like to ask them or us, do drop them to us at our email, and we’ll get them answered in our upcoming podcasts.
