As an aside, are you going to translate the lyrics for TDA’s OP and ED? Especially the ED (Endou’s “Sora wo Yuku Tomoshibi no Uta”), which forms a thematic pair with Unlimited’s own ED..
There is no way to fit subtitles in game, so not likely. There should be lyrics around already though.

Can’t find translations for them for quite some time, though I may not have been looking in the right places.
Well, I dug out an old translation of Saigo no Eden I did years ago for a forum, let me clean it up and post it. For the ED, I never bothered with the song, so not sure. The other song I have is Calling.

I also have someone’s TL of Calling’s lyrics stashed away somewhere, but it may be a rough translation. I didn’t pay much attention to Once & Forever, and the reason I became interested with the ED is due to an excerpt on NND from Kiminozo Radio (I think) that introduced it in the context of “The Song of Distant Earth”, Unlimited’s ED.

I get this message every time I run the game. If i skip it there is no any translation in the game =\
Make sure you are running in japanese locale, with your afhook.rpo in the plugin folder and the afhook.pkg in the main game folder.
Yeah, I know. But it doesn’t help.
Try to reinstall the game when in Jap locale, otherwise get another copy of the game, your current one might be corrupted.

that thread was started by this group yes, it is the same. And now this is TDA 00 Tda 01 is in a different game.
We will essentially be updating the TDA01 patch that was released.
It will be an update, but different enough that it’s worth it to play again
Sounds great. I only started playing TDA01 a few days ago and am not far into it. I’ll hold off until you release the updated translation then. The current one being a bit rough around the edges, I guess. Meanwhile I have the translation for TDA00 to enjoy. Thanks a lot. 🙂

That’s Faraway Dawn 2’s demo, not a full game. The full game is in HarukoManiax, I think.

Can this work on windows 8? I’ve tried but no success. I just wanted to know if I’m doing something wrong. I’m getting exactly the same error as Chrono but with english named buttons in the order ‘abort’, ‘retry’, ‘ignore’. When I click on any of them nothing comes up. No program or anything. Help would be appreciated.
Do you have your pc in Japanese locale?
Yes I do. I changed the system locale to Japanese yet the program doesn’t even show up. Still comes up with the ‘afhook.rpo’ error.
check that you only have one afhook.rpo in the plugins folder, and try reinstalling the game when in Jap Locale. Otherwise try to find another copy of the game, your current one might be bad.
Actually in my copy, there are two plugin folders. One is in the actual folder:
マブラヴオルタネイティヴクロニクルズ 01\Plugins
and another one is in:
マブラヴオルタネイティヴクロニクルズ 01\Akatsuki\Plugins.
Which one should I put it in?

The main plugin folder. The Akatsuki is the FarawaydawngetrapedbyBETA game folder.

Sadly, this doesn’t work on Windows 8. Downloaded from another site and still the same thing.
My pc runs windows 8 pro and it runs fine patch and all. I downloaded it from fuwanovel also, so that isn’t it either. I do run it using microsoft Applocale though, maybe that helps.

Hey guys! Thanks for the great translation! I just would like to call your attention to a small detail. It says in the opening scene that Alternative V was a project to send out Ten Thousand people into space, but it was actually One Hundred Thousand. =)
Thanks, this is a known issue and will be corrected in a future mini update. I forgot to update the image translations for the patch.

I have a problem every time i try installing it it keeps brining up window after window while installing then after it finishes it restarts the install process and does the same shit.
I use windows 7 ultimate in JP local.

Thanks people that was great (only got through TDA0, have yet to run through CD and RD). Saw a few typos pass by but I was too engrossed with a new ML to “play” with to write them down, sorry. It wasn’t anything of consequence anyway, a great job. Just something I should have noted down, at some point someone (I think it was Lilia) says “Aah” in Japanese, which should be translated by “yes” usually (which you did), but which, the way you translated the rest of the dialogue, actually meant “no” there. But I’m an idiot so I didn’t write it down.
Anyway thank you so much from a huge MV fan.
Ah, yeah, while I’m at it, since I saw people post about problems above: for me it ran fine on WIndows 8.1 Pro, excepted it crashed during the credits. I seem to have been cursed with that, it happens to me with Amaterasu’s ML Unlimited, excepted this time around just relaunching the game and caps-rushing back to the credits worked, it didn’t crash the second time around.

Hey there, just dropping to say thanks.
For those who have the error when starting where the game keeps on trying to install something, then launch the game with a japanese error, it’s due to trying to rename the folder.
What I noticed is when I renamed the game folder to “Chronicles 1” instead of its default japanese name, it would re-create another folder with its original name and try to find the files there (which didn’t exist, hence creating the error). The easy fix is simply to rename the folder back to its original name, and be careful of keeping the right オルタクロニクルズ01.rio file (that’s supposed to be around 1.5go)

I’m having some issues with the english patch. I found the main game folder and pluggins I’m my E drive. When I try to add the patch files to their respective folders, a message pops up saying that I don’t have any space.
Is there a way to bypass the problem? If not could you explain the installation process more in depth.
